FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

It’s my first class!

Welcome! The most important thing to us is that you are set up on you bike properly. This mitigates risk of injury and will make your class more enjoyable. In order to do this and to familiarize you with our space, we need you to arrive at least 15 minutes prior to the start of class. Signing the waiver ahead of time is helpful but not required.

Interested in seeing the studio before booking a class? Email us and we can set up a time to show you the space.

What do I need to bring to class?

You’ll want to be in comfortable, athletic clothing, something you’re not afraid to sweat in! You can ride in sneakers or cycling shoes with SPD cleats. If you are using sneakers, please make sure they are clean and dry as we work to keep salt and sand out of the studio and off the bikes.

We suggest at least 20 oz of water, either in your own water bottle or purchased at the desk. We have towels available for all riders, free of charge.

Can I rent clip-in shoes?

We have a limited number of TIEM Slipstream for rent. For $5 per class (charged to your card on file), we have women’s sizes 6.5 through 10 and men’s sizes 9 through 12. We love TIEMs for their comfort, support and stability on the bike, and power they give while riding.

We are also a vendor and have a variety of colors and sizes in-house if you’d like to purchase a pair for yourself!

What if i’m ‘not in shape’?

One thing we love about indoor cycling is that it caters to all abilities and fitness levels. Instructors give prompts throughout class to help you get the best workout possible but you have complete control - the resistance, your position on the bike, the amount that you follow the cues. Everyone’s body is different, even each bike is a little different, only you know what you need on any given day. This is YOUR ride, we’re just here to guide you along the way.

As with all new exercises regimens, consult with your doctor to determine if indoor cycling is a good option for you.

Do I need to book a class ahead of time?

While we suggest that you purchase and book your class ahead of time using our website or mobile app, you’re always welcome to walk-in. Please note that we only take credit cards, no cash, and cannot guarantee a bike without a reservation.

What is the cancellation policy?

If you find that you’re unable to ride, please cancel your bike at least 6 hours prior to class. Cancellations within 6 hours of class results in a $10 penalty. No-shows are charged $15.

What about inclement weather?

When the weather isn’t cooperating, we’ll cancel class at least one hour prior to the start time. You’ll receive an email notification and will be credited back the class automatically. Our social media channels also communicate any last minute class announcements.

Do you have locker rooms or showers?

While we do not have showers, we do have cubbies in which you can leave any valuables during class. External doors are locked during class for security.

Can I bring my phone into the spin room?

We ask that you please part with your device for the entirety of class to unplug, focus on your workout, and not distract both the other riders and the instructors.

Can I leave class early?

Please plan to stay through to the end of class, both to minimize distractions to other riders and for your own safety. We understand that sometimes it can’t be helped but ask that you do your best to limit the frequency with which you do so and to let your instructor know prior to class starting.
